Kiarostami was not only a great director, but also a very talented film producer. He was responsible for the production of many of his own films, as well as those of other Iranian filmmakers. He was also a co-founder of the Film Production Center of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, which was responsible for the production of many Iranian children's films.
