ʿAbd al-Majīd Tabbūn, also known as Abdelmadjid Tebboune, is the current President of Algeria and the Commander-in-Chief of the Algerian Armed Forces. He previously served as Prime Minister of Algeria from May 2017 to August 2017. Tabbūn was born in Mécheria, Algeria, and holds a degree in political science from the University of Algiers.
