Adam Kinzinger was born on February 27, 1978. An Illinois native, Kinzinger served in the United States Air Force from 2003 to 2013, during which time he deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. He entered politics in 2010 when he was elected to the Illinois Senate, and in 2013, he was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, where he represents Illinois's 16th congressional district.
