After leaving the BBC, Boult conducted the London Philharmonic Orchestra for over 30 years. During his time with the orchestra, he led them in a wide variety of performances, including premieres of works by composers such as Benjamin Britten and William Walton. He also made a number of recordings with the orchestra, including a complete cycle of the symphonies of Beethoven.
