António de Abreu and Francisco Serrão were Portuguese explorers who led a voyage to Timor and the Moluccas in 1511. The voyage was part of the Portuguese exploration of the East Indies and was intended to find a new route to India. Abreu and Serrão landed in Timor in 1512 and then sailed on to the Moluccas, where they established a Portuguese presence.
