Alan Bean, the fourth person to walk on the moon, passed away in 2018. He was 86 years old. Bean was a member of the Apollo 12 mission, which landed on the moon in November 1969. He and fellow astronaut Charles Conrad spent more than 30 hours exploring the lunar surface, collecting samples and setting up experiments.
