After ending his professional playing career in 2015, Albert Riera turned his attention to coaching, and he has since held a number of roles at both club and international level. He has most recently been the head coach of Greek club Atromitos since 2020, but he has also had spells in charge of the Spanish national under-19 team and the Greek national under-21 team.
