Albert Speer was an architect before he joined politics. He was born in Mannheim, Germany in 1905 and studied architecture at the Technical University of Munich. After graduating, he worked as an architect in Berlin and later became a professor at the Technical University of Dresden. In 1933, he joined the Nazi Party and became Hitler's personal architect.
