How many legitimate children did Alexander I have?

  • One

  • Two

  • None

  • Three

Answer

The answer is none. Alexander I famously had no surviving legitimate children. He did, however, have an illegitimate daughter named Sophie, who was the product of an extramarital affair with the Polish princess Maria Czetwertyńska-Światopełk. Sophie was born in 1810 and went on to marry a Dutch nobleman and have a family of her own.
