Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov (1729–1800) was a Russian general who was one of the most famous and successful military leaders of the late 18th century. He is best known for his victories in the Seven Years' War and the War of the Second Coalition, and he is considered one of the fathers of modern military tactics. Suvorov's full official title was Count Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov-Rymniksky, Prince of Italy.
