Answer
Alexandra Kollontai, a member of the Russian Communist Party and a leader in the Bolshevik Revolution, resigned from her post as People's Commissar of Social Welfare in 1918 after she opposed the Peace treaty of Brest-Litovsk, which had been signed between the Bolsheviks and the Central Powers. She believed that the treaty was too harsh on Russia and that it would lead to the country's downfall.
