Answer
The French Ministry of Education commissioned Alfred Binet to develop an intelligence test to identify students who needed additional educational support. Binet's test, initially created in 1905, aimed to assess cognitive abilities such as memory, attention, and problem-solving. The test was later revised and expanded by other psychologists, including Lewis Terman, and became known as the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale.
