Husayn ibn Ali, the third Shia Imam, was the father of Ali al-Sajjad, the fourth Shia Imam. Ali al-Sajjad, also known as Zayn al-Abidin, was born in Medina in 659 CE and died in 713 CE. He is known for his piety, knowledge, and eloquence. He is also credited with compiling the Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya, a collection of prayers and supplications that is considered one of the most important Shia texts.
