Aline Chrétien is the wife of the former Canadian prime minister, Jean Chrétien. Aline Chrétien's parents were Jean and Marguerite Chaîné. She grew up in Shawinigan, Quebec, and graduated from the Université du Québec à Montréal. She worked as a nurse before marrying Jean Chrétien in 1957. They have three children, Michel, France-Isabelle, and Jean-Charles.
