Answer

The United Nations Security Council passed Resolution 1814 on 15 December 2008, extending the mandate of the United Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN) for a further period of one year until 15 December 2009. The resolution welcomed the progress made by Nepal in the peace process, but expressed concern at the slow pace of implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA).
