  • 2017

  • 2020

  • 2019

Answer

Amber Rudd left Boris Johnson's cabinet in 2019 after she criticised the government's plans to break international law. She had been Home Secretary since July 2018, but resigned in protest at Johnson's plans to override the Withdrawal Agreement. Rudd said that she could not support the government's "illegal and reckless" plans, which she said would "damage our international reputation and undermine our economy".
