The NDA, or National Democratic Alliance, is a coalition of political parties in India led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Since 2014, Amit Shah, a prominent Indian politician and the current Minister of Home Affairs, has served as the NDA's chairman. The NDA has been in power at the federal level since its formation in 1998, with the exception of a brief period from 2004 to 2014.
