Anderson Silva competed in the Light heavyweight division for a short period in his career. He fought James Irvin in December 2007, winning by KO in the second round. He then fought Forrest Griffin in July 2008, winning by TKO in the second round. After this, Silva returned to the middleweight division and never fought in the light heavyweight division again.
