Zenit Saint Petersburg was the Russian club managed by André Villas-Boas. Villas-Boas, a Portuguese coach, took over as manager of Zenit in 2014 and led the team to victory in the Russian Premier League that season. He also guided Zenit to the final of the Russian Cup, where they lost to Lokomotiv Moscow. Villas-Boas left Zenit in 2016 after two seasons in charge.
