The answer is Reinhard Genzel. He is a German astrophysicist and the director of the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics in Garching, Germany. Along with Andrea M. Ghez, he shared the 2020 Nobel Prize in Physics for their discovery of a supermassive black hole at the center of our galaxy. Their observations provided the most convincing evidence yet of the existence of supermassive black holes.
