Andrea Palladio died on 19 August 1580 in Vicenza, Veneto, Italy. He was an Italian Renaissance architect, considered one of the greatest of all time. His work, much of which is in the Veneto region of Italy, is characterized by classical elements, including the use of the orders, symmetry, and the application of mathematical principles to design.
