Known as Andrew of Jerusalem, Andrew II reigned as King of Hungary and Croatia from 1205 until his death in 1235. He was the eldest son of Béla III of Hungary and Agnes of Antioch, thus being a member of the Árpád dynasty. Andrew participated in the Fifth Crusade, leading the Hungarian contingent alongside the forces of the Holy Roman Empire.
