Answer
The National Education Service (NES) is a proposed service that would provide free lifelong learning for all UK citizens. The NES would be responsible for providing education from early years through to higher education and beyond. It would also provide support for adult learners and those who want to retrain or upskill. The NES was proposed by Angela Rayner, the Shadow Secretary of State for Education, in 2021.
