Answer
The ban on public speaking imposed on Anjem Choudary, the former leader of the radical Islamist group al-Muhajiroun, was lifted in 2021. Choudary had been convicted in 2016 of inviting support for the Islamic State group and was sentenced to five and a half years in prison. Upon his release in 2018, he was subjected to a speaking ban, which prevented him from giving public lectures or sermons.
