Anna Chapman is an American woman who was convicted of acting as an agent of the Russian foreign intelligence service, the Sluzhba vneshney razvedki (SVR). She was one of ten Russian agents arrested in June 2010, and pleaded guilty to conspiracy to act as an unregistered foreign agent in the United States. Chapman was released from prison in July 2011 and deported to Russia.
