Antony Blinken, the 71st United States secretary of state, was sworn in on January 26, 2021. He previously served as the deputy secretary of state from 2015 to 2017 under former president Barack Obama. Blinken has also served as a foreign policy advisor to the Democratic Party, and was a senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
