Aristophane was a French cartoonist who was born in Guadeloupe. He is best known for his work on the comic strip "Les Pieds Nickelés", which he created with Louis Forton. Aristophane was also a writer and illustrator, and he worked on a number of other comic strips and illustrations throughout his career. He died in 1976 at the age of 82.
