Seyss-Inquart was the Deputy Governor General of Poland from 1939 to 1945. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing the German occupation of Poland and for implementing Nazi policies in the country. Seyss-Inquart was a key figure in the Holocaust and was responsible for the deaths of millions of Polish Jews. He was eventually captured by the Allies and tried for war crimes at the Nuremberg Trials.
