Answer
Quintillus was the emperor of the Roman Empire for three months, from September to December 270. He was the brother of emperor Claudius II Gothicus, who died of plague. Quintillus was unpopular with the army, and Aurelian, the commander of the eastern army, was declared emperor by his troops. Aurelian marched on Rome, and Quintillus committed suicide. Aurelian was then recognized as emperor by the Senate.
