Bacary Sagna retired from professional football in 2018 after spending the 2017–18 season with Italian Serie A club Benevento. He had previously played for Arsenal, Manchester City, and Crystal Palace in the Premier League, as well as Auxerre in Ligue 1. He was a France international, making over 80 appearances for the national team and representing his country at the 2010 and 2014 World Cups.
