Answer
A. Philip Randolph and Bayard Rustin were civil rights activists who worked together to press for an end to racial discrimination in employment. They were both members of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters, a union of African-American railroad workers. Randolph was the president of the Brotherhood, and Rustin was his chief aide. In 1941, Randolph organized the March on Washington Movement, a protest against racial discrimination in employment.
