Billy Connolly performed with Gerry Rafferty and Tam Harvey in the folk rock band The Humblebums. Connolly and Rafferty were childhood friends and started performing together in the late 1960s. The Humblebums released two albums, The Humblebums (1969) and Bigmouth Strikes Again (1970), before disbanding in 1971. Rafferty went on to have a successful solo career, while Connolly became a popular comedian and actor.
