Billy Gibbons is an American musician and singer-songwriter. He is best known as the lead guitarist and co-lead vocalist of the rock band ZZ Top, with whom he has released 15 studio albums. Gibbons began his career in the early 1960s, playing in various bands in Texas and Louisiana. He joined ZZ Top in 1969, and the band released their debut album, ZZ Top's First Album, in 1970.
