Blackbeard, also known as Edward Teach, was a pirate during the Golden Age of Piracy. Stede Bonnet, known as the "Gentleman Pirate", was a wealthy landowner who turned to piracy late in life. He joined forces with Blackbeard and became a commander of one of Blackbeard's ships, the Revenge. Together, they raided ships and captured merchant vessels off the eastern coast of North America and the West Indies.
