The Buffalo Braves drafted Bob McAdoo in 1972. McAdoo was a standout player at the University of North Carolina, and was considered one of the best college basketball players of his time. He was drafted first overall by the Braves, and went on to have a successful career in the NBA. He was named an All-Star eight times, and won the NBA MVP award in 1975.
