Indian American Bobby Jindal is a politician who served as the 55th Governor of Louisiana from 2008 to 2016. He is the first Indian American to be elected governor of a U.S. state. Jindal's parents immigrated to the United States from India in the 1970s. He was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and grew up in Kenner, a suburb of New Orleans.
