Bonnie Blair was born on March 18, 1964. She is a retired American speed skater who won five Olympic gold medals and one bronze medal in the 500, 1000, and 1500-meter events. Blair is widely considered one of the greatest speed skaters of all time. She was inducted into the United States Olympic Hall of Fame in 1995 and the International Skating Union Hall of Fame in 2004.
