Boris Gelfand is a Russian-Israeli chess grandmaster. He is a two-time World Chess Champion (2012 and 2016) and a five-time World Chess Championship finalist (2008, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018). Gelfand is the only player in history to have won the World Chess Championship after losing the first match. His middle name is Abramovich.
