Boris Tadić was born in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia. He is a Serbian politician who served as the President of Serbia from 2004 to 2012. Tadić was born to a Serbian father and a Bosnian Muslim mother. He studied law at the University of Sarajevo and later worked as a journalist. In 1990, he joined the Democratic Party of Serbia and became its president in 2004.
