Myroslav Skoryk and Valentyn Sylvestrov were two of the most prominent Ukrainian composers influenced by Lyatoshynsky. Skoryk was a student of Lyatoshynsky's at the Kharkiv Conservatory and went on to become one of the most successful Ukrainian composers of the 20th century.
