What year did Bruce Dickinson leave Iron Maiden to pursue a solo career?

  • 1993

  • 1987

  • 1999

  • 2005

Answer

Bruce Dickinson left Iron Maiden in 1993 to pursue a solo career. He had been the lead singer of the band since 1981 and had recorded seven studio albums with them. Dickinson's departure was a major blow to Iron Maiden, but they continued on with Blaze Bayley as their new singer. Dickinson eventually returned to Iron Maiden in 1999 and has been with them ever since.
