The Canadian Soccer League was originally called the Canadian Professional Soccer League when it was formed in 1992. The CPSL was a professional soccer league in Canada that existed from 1992 to 2006. It was the top level of soccer in Canada for much of its existence, but was eventually replaced by the Canadian Premier League.
