He is a former professional baseball player who played 21 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Kansas City Royals, Houston Astros, New York Mets, San Francisco Giants, and St. Louis Cardinals. He was a 12-time All-Star and won the World Series twice with the Giants. Beltrán played all three outfield positions and was a switch-hitter.
