Cesare Maldini earned 14 caps for Italy between 1954 and 1960. He was a defender and made his international debut in a 2-0 win over Switzerland on 16 June 1954. He went on to play in the 1958 FIFA World Cup, where Italy were eliminated in the quarter-finals by Brazil. Maldini was capped a further 13 times before retiring from international football in 1960.
