Chaim Weizmann had 15 siblings, all of whom were born in Pinsk, Russian Empire (now Belarus). He was the youngest of the siblings, and his father was a rabbi. Weizmann's family was very poor, and he had to work hard to support himself. He eventually went to university, where he studied chemistry. Weizmann became a successful scientist, and he eventually became the first president of Israel.
