In 1804, Charles William Vane, 3rd Marquess of Londonderry, married Lady Catherine Bligh, daughter of John Bligh, 3rd Earl of Darnley. The marriage took place in London and was attended by many members of the British aristocracy. Londonderry and Catherine went on to have several children together and remained married until Londonderry's death in 1822.
