Dou Wu was a general of the state of Cao Wei during the Three Kingdoms period of China. He was the adoptive father of Cao Pi, the founding emperor of the state of Wei. Dou Wu held the position of Grand Commandant, the highest military position in the Wei government. He was a powerful and influential figure during the early years of the Wei state.
