Christian X was the King of Denmark from 1912 until his death in 1947. He was born in 1870 and was the second son of King Frederik VIII and Louise of Hesse-Kassel. He succeeded his father to the throne in 1912 and reigned for over 35 years. During his reign, Denmark experienced two world wars and the Great Depression.
