Claude Shannon studied for his master's degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He was a student there from 1937 to 1939, and he earned his master's degree in electrical engineering in 1939. During his time at MIT, Shannon worked on a number of projects, including his famous paper on information theory.
