Prince of Taranto was the title held by Bohemond I from 1089 until his death in 1111. He was a prominent Norman knight and the son of Robert Guiscard, the founder of the Hauteville dynasty in southern Italy. Bohemond I played a significant role in the First Crusade, leading a contingent of Norman and Italian knights and capturing the city of Antioch in 1098.
